Underground Bass Maverick BmO Starts A New Journey As Second Nature
Underground DJs and producers have been and always will be the lifeblood of electronic music. These grassroots artists fuel the creativity and innovation that eventually bubbles up to festival main stages around the world. Since breaking into the scene back in 2013 Second Nature, formerly known as BmO, has stepped up as a maverick of experimental bass in the northeast. After a slew of performances at the late great Webster Hall and a massive performance at F.A.R.M Fest 2017 on the Jaenga Bus stage, Second Nature is riding a major high into 2018.
Comprised of Kyle Banks (DJ/Producer/MC) and Russell Miller (Live Drums), Second Nature’s prime objective is to help people get in touch with their natural state of being through incredibly unique and artfully crafted tunes. From fusion bass to ambient to glitch hop, Second Nature is dead set on pushing the envelope when it comes to outside-of-the-box production.
Second Nature’s Phantasy EP dropped under the moniker of BmO last year and the five-track offering perfectly showcases Banks’ wily production and refreshing musical vision. With a second EP slated to drop in May and several shows set to hit the Brooklyn area, Second Nature is enjoying this new chapter of their musical journey.
