The Glitch Mob Continue Slew Of Collabs With Heavy-Hitters Zeke Beats & 1788-L
Legendary trio The Glitch Mob is putting a major exclamation point on 2019 with a slew of sister collaborations. In just under a month, the globally renowned trifecta of Boreta (Justin Boreta), edIT (Ed Ma), and ooah (Joshua Mayer), has joined forces with three separate burgeoning bass stars for a cutting-edge collection of releases.
The Glitch Mob described this project as “a series of collaborations with producers we admire and creatively vibe with”. Now we have the final two tasty offerings for fans to sink their teeth into “Momentary Lapse” featuring rising star 1788-L and “Laszer Vision” featuring bass maven Zeke BEaats, are two spine-tingling bangers that will surely become crowd favorites.
Each track offers an effortless fusion of each producers’ signature styles culminating in two phenomenally inventive and authentic singles. Pulsing with analog synths, “Momentary Lapse” provides an enigmatic chord progression that subtly draws the listener in before cascading into an experimental glitch-infused bassline. Much like the producer 1788-L himself, ‘Momentary Lapse’ lends an atmosphere of sonic obscurity, all while drawing on eclectic components from a myriad of genres.
‘Lazer Vision’ is a punishing peak-time number, that continues to use The Glitch Mob’s signature use of subtle chords before cascading into a heavy clattering drop that comes straight out of left-field. The collaboration continues to throb with invention as timeless analog elements bleed through with distinctive percussion which dovetails perfectly with ZEKE BEATS’ scintillating grime flavor and unparalleled turntablist technique.
