Stratosphere All-Stars ft. members of Gramatik, Lotus, STS9, Kung Fu, and More at Brooklyn Bowl [3.26]
New York City’s famous Brooklyn Bowl has been on top of their game this past year by hosting a consistent lineup of funk concerts and next week’s show is no exception to the trend. On Thursday March 26th, the Stratosphere All-Stars will take the stage and perform two live dance-driven sets showcasing the sounds of Daft Punk, LCD Soundsystem, Talking Heads, Herbit Hancock, and many more. The gig is expected to be filled with tons of steady (and sometimes heavy) groovin’ to some of today’s most established artists in the jam-electronica scene along with some up-and-coming musicians worth knowing.
Who exactly are these Stratosphere All-Stars? Joining forces for a one-night only showcase of funkadelic jams, the musical group will be comprised of guitarist Andrew Brook (Gramatik), drummer Mike Greenfield (Lotus), bassist David Murphy (STS9/Seven Arrows), keyboardist Steve Molitz (Particle/Phil & Friends), guitarist Marcus Rezak (Digital Tape Machine), and special guest Todd Stoops (Kung Fu/RAQ). With all band members being relevant in this particular music scene for years now, these guys are finally coming together in brilliant collaboration for a dance-crazed night at Brooklyn Bowl.
Opening up for the All-Stars will be Teddy Midnight, a New York-based group known for fusing together the sounds of EDM, Progressive Rock, Jazz, Latin, and Alternative. The band currently resides in Brooklyn and is sure to show some love to their fellow neighbors as they set the vibe and get you dancing in anticipation for the upcoming set. Additionally, all those attending the event will get free admission to the following DJ set by Questlove!
