The Revivalists Return to Brooklyn Bowl This Friday, 11/22
The Revivalists are coming back to heat things up in New York for a sold-out Brooklyn Bowl show this Friday, 11/22 (don’t fret — some tickets will be available at the door). David Shaw and the rest of these talented New Orleans rockers (Ed Williams, Zack Feinberg, Rob Ingraham, George Gekas, Andrew Campanelli, and Michael Girardot) are on quite a hot streak recently, having just signed with indie label Wind-Up Records. These guys have grown exponentially over the last year and deservedly so.
The band isn’t too confined to a genre, but their sound is largely based in rock with elements of funk, blues, jazz, and electronic thrown in. Lead singer Dave Shaw makes the show with his intense energy and frequent lack of a shirt. The last time Shaw made a Brooklyn Bowl appearance he absolutely brought the house down, joining Galactic for 2 nights of their 4-night run this summer. We can’t wait to see what he has in store this time around (aside from making ALL the ladies swoon).
The Bobby Paultauf Band and Tiajuana Caravan will be opening the show this Friday. This is going to be a show not to miss, whether you’re a long-time fan from NOLA or are just discovering the greatness that is The Revivalists. More info can be found here.
