Phases of the Moon Music + Art Festival Announces Additional Artists to 2015 Lineup
A word from our friends at Phases of the Moon:
Phases of the Moon Music + Art Festival is excited to announce additional artists to the 2015 event. Joining the lineup is Warren Haynes & The Ashes & Dust Band, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Birdcloud, Blaine Cartwright and The Dropper. The second annual three-day festival will take place on the picturesque Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Arkansas Oct 16-18, 2015. Phases of the Moon Music + Art Festival is a multi-day camping event that will feature four distinct components: feel good music, performance art, visual art and the Sanctuary; plus an eclectic variety of activities and attractions.
Grammy Award winning artist Warren Haynes has been recognized as a cornerstone of the American music landscape and revered as one of the finest guitar players in the world. Throughout his prolific career he has been an integral part of three of the greatest live groups in rock history – The Allman Brothers Band, Gov’t Mule and the Dead. Haynes recently released his new album “Ashes & Dust” where he focuses on his singer-songwriter side over 13 tracks.
Fresh off the Rolling Stones tour, legendary saxophonist Karl Denson has been getting crowds around the world out on the dance floor. Approaching iconic status, Denson has moved bodies and minds dating back to his earliest years with Lenny Kravitz’s band through his ongoing tenure as a founding member of seminal boogaloo revivalists The Greyboy Allstars. He continues to move forward with his current role as a member of San Diego dub rockers Slightly Stoopid and iconic rock legends, The Rolling Stones. Nowhere, however, is this more apparent than with his own band, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe.
Creativity of all kinds will also be featured at Phases of the Moon Festival; from interactive sculptures to major installations, live art and more. Artwork will be on display from renowned national and local artists. The Sanctuary will offer festival goers an oasis for relaxation, rejuvenation and inspiration in a truly unique and immersive environment. The Sanctuary will also include workshops, yoga, massage, sound healing and more. Additional activities and attractions at Phases of the Moon include hiking, disc golf, the Crescent Moon Kids Camp, Phases Farmers Market, world class food and craft vendors, the Non-Profit Village and more!
