Hailing from Philadelphia Solar Circuit is a jamtronica band with deep roots in improv and who love to stray down the experimental path. With the ability to blend a myriad of genres from funk to prog-rock to electronic and more, Solar Circuit will be bringing some fuzzy live vibrations to Elements Lakewood. With the festival’s new Porch Stage, dedicated to live bands, Solar Circuit is set to bring variety to the festivities.
If you love live performances that incorporate sick MPC skills, low-end bass and angsty hip-hop overtones then you will surely not want to miss Mad Zach’s Elements Lakewood performance. With some of the most well-produced bass tunes you wlll find, this San Francisco native based in Berlin is currently on a steady rise to prominence. In the same vein as Barclay Crenshaw, Eprom, G Jones and Bleep Bloop, Mad Zach is bringing his own suave spin on west coast bass and we can’t to see what he unleashes on Lakewood.
Since 2008 Mount Kimbie has steadily been turning heads. The UK duo is heavily associated with the term post-dubstep. Their style has been described as a departure from the bass-heavy sounds of dubstep to a more ambient, hazier style of electronica. They have been closely associated with fellow UK producer James Blake and their sound has organically adapted over the years incorporating IDM, R&B and post-rock. Heavy synth work and deliciously deft instrumentation have become the hallmarks of their sound. With the duo set to take the stage for a special DJ set, there’s no telling what this talented collective has in store for.
When it comes to living legends of electronic music, Lee Burridge is definitely one of them. Known around the world for his incredible sets and unbelievable antics, Burridge has solidified himself as one of the foremost tastemakers in the scene. As a record label owner, DJ and producer Burridge has left his indelible mark on dance music and his presence at Elements Lakewood further solidifies this event as one of the most anticipated of the year.
